The president of the SNSW Conference is Pr Robert G Manners, known to most as Bob.
Bob grew up in rural South Australia in an Adventist family of 6 children. Although he graduated from nursing, he entered a career in hospital administration and health education. It was while serving as a missionary in Asia that he began to focus on health evangelism and other types of ministries for the church. His passion for introducing people to Jesus and training members and workers in evangelism led to his ordination to the Gospel Ministry in 1984. Bob has served the church in a variety of capacities both in Australia and overseas, including church pastor, departmental and administrative leadership at conference and union levels. He has a Masters Degree in Church Administration, post grad studies in Public Health and more recently became a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He and his wife Merrilyn have four grown children.
While acknowledging the Lord as the supreme leader of the Church work, Bob's goal for the Conference is to coordinate the talent, resources and expertise throughout the field and to assist each of the ministry teams in strategizing, planning and working towards a positive growth for the Lord's kingdom.
